Maria Smirnova is a concept artist and illustrator at Mooncolony. She began her art education by majoring in graphic design and initially thought she would work in the book industry. Maria moved into game development by accident after being shown an artist vacancy for a casual video game project. She took the leap and, like many of us, was drawn into the limitless possibilities of game worlds. Since then Maria has worked for several studios on projects from early development to projects that have a long history. As a huge fan of fantasy, Maria is inspired by working on new characters and creating pieces for epic worlds. Mooncolony is her new family that offers support and opens up new horizons of possibilities for creating stunning illustrations and characters.
